1. The petitioner assails order dated 20.5.2023 passed by learned Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sonipat, wherein his application for issuance of Arms Licence has been declined.

2. The aforesaid order would be appealable in terms of Section 18 of the Arms Act. The petitioner, till date has not availed of the said remedy and has approached this Court straightaway without exhausting the said remedy.

3. Without commenting anything as regards the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail of the remedy of statutory appeal. The appellate authority shall take a liberal view in the matter of limitation.
