Present writ petition is for quashing of impugned posting order dated 10.02.2018 (Annexure P5), whereby petitioner was ordered to be posted at Pathankot, which is not the place of his choice. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner is due for retirement in the year 2020 and as per the Rules & Instructions governing the present petitioner, he has to be accommodated at the place of his choice if his retirement is due in the coming six years, but that has not been considered so far. Learned counsel further contended that petitioner has already filed a representation dated 16.08.2018 (Annexure P9) and prayer is to the extent that it be decided expeditiously. Notice of motion.
