(Oral) The petitioner, who is 82-Years of age, has filed an appeal under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') before the Maintenance Appellate Tribunal, Mahendergarh, Narnaul against the order dated 03.10.2017 by which, application filed for seeking maintenance, has been dismissed.

The only grievance of the petitioner is about the delay in disposal of the said appeal. According to the petitioner, seven months have passed but so far the said appeal is not making any headway for its decision. Thus, an innocuous prayer is made by the petitioner to issue direction to respondent No. 1- Maintenance Appellate Tribunal, who seized of the said appeal, to decide the same within a period of one month.
