This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. Petitioner seeks directions to the official respondents to take appropriate action against respondent nos.6 to 9 in terms of the provisions of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, as the said respondents have allegedly not been attending meetings/proceedings of the Gram Panchayat since more than 6 months, thereby causing impedimentsin the development work of the village. There is a further prayer for directing the official respondents to take appropriate action on legal notice dated 14.09.2020 (Annexure P-20), served by the petitioner upon the said respondents.

As per reply dated 04.01.2021 of respondent no.5 on behalf of respondents no.1, 2, 4 and 5, it is categorically stated that the matter has been inquired into and Report dated 04.11.2020 (Annexure R-5/1) in this

CWP-18955-2020 respecthas been submitted by the DDPO, Moga in which certain shortcomings have been found on the part of the petitioner. In this view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to deny that the present writ petition is rendered infructuous. He, however, prays for liberty to the petitioner to seek remedy/remedies for impugning the Inquiry Report dated 04.11.2020. Petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to avail her remedy as may be available, qua Inquiry Report dated 04.11.2020, in accordance with law.
