Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner was engaged as a Pump Driver on 2.2.1987 on daily wage basis. In the year 1990 his services were terminated. Petitioner challenged his termination by approaching the Labour Court. Labour Court vide award dated 2.12.1993 rejected the claim of the petitioner and held that he was not entitled to any relief.

In January 1994, petitioner again was engaged on daily wage basis. It appears that thereafter services of the petitioner were again terminated as he is reported to have been given employment through contractor in the year 1997.

Prayer in the present petition, inter alia, is to direct the respondents to implement the resolution dated 30.10.2015(P-14) passed by Municipal Council,Nabha-respondent no.3 to appoint the petitioner in case he fulfills the qualification for any post in the said office. Further prayer is to direct respondent no.3-Municipal Council,Nabha to respond to the query raised by Director,Local Bodies,Punjab-respondent no.2, as to what is the justification for reinstatement of petitioner who has already been removed.
