Petitioners claim themselves to be regular employees working as Firemen, Drivers and/or Senior Fire Officers and posted at Municipal Council, Kapurthala. It is stated that their services are governed under the Punjab Fire Brigade Rules,1977 (for short 1977 Rules). Their claim in the present petition is that they are not being paid overtime wages, uniform allowance and other allowances since long.

At the time of hearing,learned counsel for the petitioners has shown General Standing Orders framed under the 1977 Rules providing furnishing of uniforms on periodic basis, however, it is conceded that the main thrust is for grant of overtime wages.

At this stage,counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the instant petition so as to enable her clients to file a fresh one after deleting the prayers which are not substantiated by any rules, regulations or standing orders.
