Prayer made in the present petition for directing the respondents to consider and promote the petitioners as Mistress. 2.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioners are working as Librarians and vide instructions dated 02.09.2001 were granted with 1% quota for promotion, which in para 2 of the written statement has been stated to have been withdrawn vide letter dated 06.03.2014, in absence whereof, there is no promotional avenue available to them, which was an alternate prayer made in the writ petition. He on instructions states that, he will serve a legal notice by relying on judgment passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Food Corporation of India and Others vs. Parashotam Das Bansal and Others, (2008) 5 SCC 100, to request the respondents to create a promotional avenue, which may be directed to be decided in a time bound manner.

Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents that in MOHIT 2025.07.11 17:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-3843-2014 (O&M) -2case petitioners served a legal notice within a period of 4 weeks, the same shall be decided, within a further period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith.
