Present writ petition is for grant of interest on the delayed payment of retiral benefits to the petitioners who retired from their services on 30.10.2016 and 31.10.2016, respectively as the same have been released to them after a considerable delay and no interest on account of delayed payment has been made.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that legal notice dated 23.07.2018 (Annexure P5) regarding payment of interest on delayed payment of retiral benefits, which was got issued by the petitioners, is still pending with the respondents.
