The petitioner is an aspirant for admission to BA LL.B.(Hons.) 5 Years Integrated Course. He earlier filed a writ petition claiming that one seat was lying vacant in the Panjab University, Regional Centre at Hoshiarpur. Though the last date had already expired yet this Court intervened and directed that the seat may be allotted strictly in order of merit. The said seat was filled up by granting admission to a candidate who was at Sr.No.'1544' in the merit list as against the petitioner's rank at No.'1929'. In this second writ petition the petitioner has averred that one more seat has fallen vacant at Regional Centre, Ludhiana, and this Court may adopt the same recourse to fill up the same. CWP-22962-2017 -2was 15.09.2017, which is already over. The classes have commenced. The vacant seat, referred to by the petitioner has admittedly fallen vacant only when one of the candidate who was admitted did not join subsequently. Such eventualities may take place in future also. If this Court will continue to interfere, the very sanctity of the last date for admissions will be lost. We are, thus, not inclined to issue any direction. [2] Dismissed.
