{2023:PHHC:092836} The petitioner has preferred this Writ Petition assailing the order dt.17.12.2015 (Annexure P-4) passed by respondent No.4 (District Education Officer (Elementary Education, Amritsar) whereby the petitioner has been transferred despite the fact that the petitioner is a victim of sexual harassment.
The State has filed its reply and has pointed out that the petitioner has been posted at a convenient place i.e. GES Ramdas which is around 40 KMs. away from her residence. Thereafter, additional affidavit dt.11.02.2020 of the District Education Officer (Elementary Education), Amritsar has been placed on record wherein it is stated that vide order dt.15.07.2016, the petitioner has now been posted at Govt. Primary School, Amritsar which is a school of her choice and is only 8 KMs from her residence.

{2023:PHHC:092836} Learned State counsel has stated that in view of the aforesaid, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and the present Writ Petition has been rendered infructuous.
Taking note of the aforesaid facts and the affidavit filed by the District Education Officer (Elementary Education), Amritsar whereby the petitioner has been placed near to her residence, the Writ Petition has been rendered infructuous and disposed of with the directions that the petitioner shall be allowed to continue to work at the place of posting as above.
