**** Manjari Nehru Kaul, J.(Oral) Instant petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the Lower Appellate Court to decide the stay application dated 25.11.2021 filed by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed an appeal alongwith stay application against the ejectment order dated 11.11.2021 passed by Rent Controller, Ludhiana, before the Appellate Authority, Ludhiana on 25.11.2021 wherein notice of motion was issued to the respondent on 29.11.2021. The respondent thereafter filed an application for issuance of directions to the petitioner for deposit of mesne profits @ Rs.30,000/- per month. Learned counsel further submits that both the applications i.e.

stay application as well as execution application are still pending before the Appellate Authority and the case is now fixed for 29.08.2022. Therefore, learned counsel restricts his prayer for directions to the Court concerned to decide his application under Section 15(ii) of East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as 'Act') in a time bound manner as it has been pending since 25.11.2021.
