Petitioner seeks a direction to the State to look into its grievance for the purpose of Tax Exemption under the Safe School Vahan Vehicle Scheme. Reply by way of affidavit of Dilraj Singh, State Transport Commissioner, Punjab has been filed in court. Learned State counsel submits that by way of notification Annexure R1 issued on 19.01.2015, State has already increased the rates of ordinary taxi cars up to 1000 CC from `7/- to `10/-. He further submits that in case petitioner files representation, the matter shall be reconsidered by respondent no. 2 and a decision shall be taken within six weeks after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
