**** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of this petition, the petitioner has retired. Despite the directions of this Court issued on 09.05.2017 for taking a decision in respect of the petitioner's promotion, no action has been taken by the respondents. He further submits that the petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in a time bound manner with effect from the date his juniors had been promoted. Without making any observations on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in terms of the instructions/rules within a period of four months from now.
