Learned State counsel has filed the status report by way of affidavit of Neha Aggarwal, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, SubDivision Samana, District Patiala on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions and has submitted that petitioner No. 1 was not married before approaching this Court and respondents No. 5 & 6 have made a wrong averment qua the same, due to which the matter has been pending before this Court for more than one year.

Today, learned counsel for respondents No. 5 & 6 submits that he has no instructions and prays for withdrawal of his power of attorney, as despite his best efforts, respondents No. 5 & 6 are not coming forward. PARUL 2023.12.04 10:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

In light of the above, since the respondents No. 5 & 6 are made a wrong statements in the Court, it is a fit case to impose costs on them for unnecessary delaying the proceedings by misrepresenting and making a wrong statement.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of, with a direction to respondents No. 2 & 3 to look into the threat perception qua the petitioners and respondents No. 5 & 6 are imposed with a cost of Rs.5,000/- which shall be deposited with Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Clerks Association within two weeks from today.
