The grievance of the petitioner is that the Passport Officer has not taken note of the fact that the criminal case which was pending against him has later gave place to an order of acquittal from the Criminal Court. The judgment has also been communicated to the Passport Officer but still he has not taken any steps. There is nothing for consideration in the writ petition and I will leave it to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner in the light of the copy of the judgment reported to have been sent to him. The petitioner is at liberty to send a fresh copy of the judgment to the 2nd respondent and seek for an appropriate order. A fresh decision will be taken by the 2nd respondent and communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. 2.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
