ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant him pay scale of Rs.1030034800+5000 w.e.f. 14.10.2014 in accordance with the Notification dated 27.05.2009 (Annexure P-9).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pay scale for the post of Librarian was fixed and revised by the 5th pay commission but the same has not been given to the petitioner. He submits that petitioner after being promoted as Librarian gave various representations to the official respondents, but no decision was taken. It was informed to the petitioner that his representation dated 28.09.2018 (Annexure P-11) is being considered but no decision thereupon has been taken till date. Hence, the instant petition. 3.

Ms. Ambika Bedi, AAG, Punjab, who has joined proceedings on service of advance copy of the petition appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State of Punjab.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to objectively consider the representation dated 28.09.2018 (Annexure P-11) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and decide the same by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within a period of 3 months from today. 8.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
