***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Case has been heard through video conferencing on account of COVID-19 Pandemic.
The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on the ground that the police of SAS Nagar, Mohali is shielding the real culprit i.e. respondent N.5 Sadha Ram, in criminal case having FIR No.108 dated 7.6.2018 registered under Sections 279, 337 IPC, Police Station Phase-I, SAS Nagar Mohali.

( 2 ) CRM-M-37332-2020 accident, respondent No.5 himself was driving i-20 car having registration No.CH-01-BD-3809 which was owned by him, however the police lodged FIR regarding the said accident against respondent No.6-Harpreet Singh while shielding respondent No.5-Sadha Ram.

At this stage, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab has accepted notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3.
The counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already given representation dated 6.2.2020 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.2 for redressal of his grievance, but till date, no action has been taken. He further submitted that he will be satisfied if necessary direction is given to respondent No.2 to look into the matter and decide his representation. Accordingly, this writ petition is hereby disposed of without entering into the merits of the case, with direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation (Annexure P-5) of the petitioner in accordance with law, at the earliest but not later than 3 months from today.
