Prayer made in the present petition for quashing para 3 of the letter dated 15.12.2011, vide which the employees, who had retired between 01.01.2006 to 30.11.2011, have been discriminated vis-a-vis those retired on or after 01.12.2011.

As is apparent from the perusal of the writ petition, reliance was placed on decision of this Court in a batch of petitions with a lead case being CWP-11373-2012 titled as Rattan Singh and Others vs. State of Punjab and Others, decided on 16.08.2013, quashing the aforesaid para and directing release of consequential benefits against which LPA-1857-2013 filed along with other connected appeals, were disposed of on 09.07.2014 observing therein that instead of direction to implement w.e.f. 01.01.2006, the State ought to have been directed to reconsider the question of fixation of the cut-off date, thus to that extent, the MOHIT 2025.07.11 15:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-4238-2014 (O&M) -2appeals were allowed to reconsider the issue and take fresh decision, against which SLP-14094-2014 was dismissed on 05.09.2014. 3.
