The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to reconsider the claim of the petitioner for appointment against Class IV post as per the policy dated 18.11.1993 (Annexure P-1). 2.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

Learned State counsel has informed that the petitioner has been appointed as a 'Beldar' in view of the policy of Government of Punjab under Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme for Oustees of Ranjit Sagar Dam and that the petitioner has accepted the said appointment and has joined the same. A copy of order passed by Office of Chief Engineer, SPK Dam (P) Water Resources Department, Shahpurkandi Township has been furnished by learned State counsel to this Court, which is taken on record.
