The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a direction to allow the petitioner to work as Assistant Professor (Economics) on contractual basis till the appointment of regular teacher. 2.

Learned counsel for the University contends that there is no workload in the Department of Economics for engagement of Assistant Professor on contract basis.
