Declaration of the petitioner as L-1 with regard to the tender in question was challenged by respondent No.4 through filing of an appeal before respondent No.2 under Section 16 of the Punjab Food Grains Labour & Cartage Policy, 2026 (for short - 'the Policy') which appeal through order dated 02.05.2026 was accepted and the matter was remanded to the Tender Committee for fresh consideration. The order dated 02.05.2026 passed by respondent No.2 was challenged by the petitioner before respondent No.1 through filing of a statutory appeal under Section 17 of the Policy which is pending adjudication for the last two weeks and the delay is causing prejudice to the petitioner. In these circumstances, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that this petition be disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the petitioner's aforesaid appeal expeditiously. Learned State counsel and learned counsel for respondent No.4 has no objection to the acceptance of the afore prayer made on the petitioner's behalf.

A direction for early disposal of a lis pending between the parties prejudices none. Rather, it is in the interest of all concerned that the matter pending before a Court of law/statutory forum is decided at the earliest. Therefore and for the reason that learned counsel for the respondents have expressed their no objection this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the petitioner's appeal filed to challenge therein order of respondent No.2 dated 02.05.2026 within 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order but only after granting opportunity of hearing to all affected parties and through passing of a reasoned order.
