(ORAL) After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer to the issuance of a direction to respondent No.5 to decide the application (Annexure P-4), as moved by the petitioner to him for seeking the extension of parole, within some specific time frame. Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, learned AAG, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings on behalf of all the respondents in this case in pursuance of the copies of the instant petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, submits that she has no objection to the above-discussed submission/ prayer as made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Resultantly, the petition in hand is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5 to consider and decide the above-said application, Annexure P-4, as preferred by the petitioner to him, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
