Versus

State of Haryana and others

...Respondents

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMAN CHAUDHARY ***** Present :

Mr. Jasbir Mor, Advocate for the petitioner.

***** AMAN CHAUDHARY. J (Oral) 1.

The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to place the petitioner at the appropriate place in the selection list/merit dated 14.07.2024, Annexure P-10.

2.

Learned counsel would submit that the petitioner is an aspirant for the post of Group D in different departments under the ESP-General category, claimed on account of he having participated in the State School Tournament in the year 2014, as apparent from the Sports Gradation Certificate, Annexure P-8, which however was not available with him at the time of document verification on 05.03.2022, being pending before the department concerned. As per notice dated 12.02.2022 issued by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission relying on the instructions dated 02.02.2022, the gradation certificate issued before or after 31.10.2021 can be considered in the eventuality of the tournament being prior to 18.09.2018. The petitioner had secured 28 marks but his roll number does not figure in the selection list though that of candidate with 17 and 24 finds mention. In this regard, a representation dated 16.07.2024, Annexure P-12, has been submitted, which HAMANT 2024.07.24 09:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-16972-2024 has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to respondent No.3 to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing. 3.

Notice of motion.

4.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Harish Nain, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and on instructions submits that the case of the petitioner is under consideration and the needful shall be done within a period of two weeks.

5.

This satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioner. 6.

Disposed of accordingly.
