Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondents had demolished the water course for which an FIR had been registered. Issue notice to respondents No.1 to 3 only.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Luvinder Sofat, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3.

Heard. The petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda - respondent No.2 to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) and take steps, if necessary, in accordance with law to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.
