1. In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of direction to the respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioner as daily wager/Special Police Officer (SPO), rendered before regularization, as qualifying service for the purpose of retiral benefits. Reliance is made to the judgment dated 15.02.2018 (Annexure P-3) passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP-9936-2017 titled as Sukhjeet Singh and other Vs. State of Punjab and others.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.4 to decide the legal notice dated 28.03.2026 (Annexure P-6) served by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 28.03.2026 (Annexure P6), served by the petitioner within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. 6.
