JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Sandeep Arora, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the fact that FIR No.163 dated 8.6.2019 registered at Police Station Taraori, District Karnal under Sections 376 and 511 of Indian Penal Code was lodged about four months ago, the police has neither conducted any effective investigation nor has effected arrest of the accused and on the other hand, the petitioner is being pressurized to effect a compromise. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without making any expression on merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Superintendent of Police, Karnal to look into the matter and to decide the representation dated 11.7.2019 (Annexure P-2), moved by petitioner, in accordance with law and also to ensure that the matter pertaining to FIR No.163 dated 8.6.2019 is got investigated expeditiously, so that a final report is filed thereupon in the shortest possible time.
