Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) In response to advertisement no.1/2016 dated 31.5.2016(P-1) petitioner, a General Category candidate, being eligible, applied for the post of Constable in District Police Cadre in Punjab Police. In the provisional result for District Cadre (Male) his name figured at Sr.No.1624 of the merit list for having secured 29 marks and he was allotted the District Commissionerate of Police, Ludhiana. He was further directed to appear before Senior Medical Officer, Raikot for medical examination. Accordingly, petitioner appeared and was examined by Medical Officer, Civil Hospital,Raikot(Ludhiana) on 3.11.2016 and was declared medically fit for appointment in Government Service.

Grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that despite having been selected and found medically fit, he is not being issued appointment letter though similarly situated candidates have already been issued appointment letters.

After hearing the learned counsel and perusing the averments made in this petition, the present writ petition, without issuing notice to respondents, is disposed of with a direction to respondent authorities to Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2016.12.24 13:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP 27082/2016 consider the claim of the petitioner as set out in the legal notice dated 30.11.2016(P-6)/in this writ petition and take necessary action thereon within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
