MEHTA (ORAL) By way of the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the indulgence of this Court for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect her life and liberty as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 14, who have been pressurizing her to perform marriage with a boy of their choice but against her wishes. It has also been mentioned in this petition that the petitioner has already moved a representation (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, on 06.11.2020, in this regard. Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only. Learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer to issuance of a direction to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to take appropriate action on the said representation (Annexure P-4). Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Keeping in view the afore-discussed prayer of the petitioner, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar is hereby directed to look into the said representation (Annexure P-4) and if it is found that the petitioner genuinely deserves any protection, then to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

This petition stands disposed of.
