With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the aforesaid writ petitions are being taken up together for adjudication, as they arise out of a common set of facts and involve identical questions of law. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, the facts are being extracted from CWP-17236-2026.

The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, especially in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the benefit of service of deceased wife of petitioner to him, whose services were regularized vide order dated 10.02.2025 (Annexure P-9) w.e.f 10.04.2006 along with interest @ 12% per annum from its due date till its realization.

Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that he would be satisfied if the legal notice dated 11.05.2026 (Annexure P-10) of the respective petitioner(s) is decided by passing a speaking order in a time bound manner.

Learned counsels for the respondents jointly submits that they have no objection in case a direction is issued to respondent No.1 for time bound consideration and decision of the legal notice of the respective petitioners by passing a speaking order.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, and without commenting upon the merits of the case, all the four petitions are disposed of and the respondent No.1/competent authority is directed to consider the legal notice (Annexure P-10) of the respective petitioners and pass a speaking order after affording them an opportunity to be heard, within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. Further, the decision taken thereof shall be conveyed to the petitioners.

Needless to observe that, if the petitioners are found entitled to the relief sought, the same be granted to them forthwith by the respondents, in accordance with law.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stands disposed of.

Photocopy of this order be placed on the files of connected cases.
