**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner states that despite the fact that 12% interest was granted by this Court while deciding CWP No.23145 of 2015, the same has not been complied with and the petitioner has not been granted the actual amount for which he was entitled for. In fact, the petitioner had already filed COCP No.569 of 2016 alleging non-compliance of the order dated 31.10.2015 passed in CWP No.23145 of 2015. After the status report was put in by the State of Punjab showing the compliance of the order, the contempt petition was disposed of by holding that no further adjudication in the matter is necessary.

CWP-21865-2018 -2that he was entitled for more amount as granted to him in compliance of the order dated 31.10.2015 passed in CWP No.23145 of 2015. Once an order has been passed by the Contempt Court on 09.05.2018 that no further adjudication in the matter is necessary, after the respondent(s) brought to the notice of the Court that all the dues of the petitioner have already been cleared.

Counsel for the petitioner further states that while disposing of the contempt petition, the petitioner has been given liberty to avail the appropriate remedy if he is still aggrieved.

Counsel for the petitioner states that this claim has been rejected by the department after he filed the representation in compliance of the order dated 09.05.2018.

In view of above, counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition to invoke the appropriate remedy available under law.
