Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. 2.

Learned State counsel in compliance of order dated 25.07.2024 filed reply/status report by way of affidavit of Sh.Mukesh Kumar, HPS Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naraingarh, District Ambala has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 in Court today. The same is taken on record. 3.

While drawing the attention of this Court to paragraph No.4 of the reply, it has been submitted that no representation/application was ever received in the office of respondent No.2 other than one complaint bearing No.5503-PW dated 22.09.2023 upon which an FIR No.283 dated 01.10.2023 under Sections POONAM RATHORE 2024.09.12 17:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CRWP-6999-2024 -2147, 149, 323, 506 of the IPC already stands registered at Police Station Shahazadpur. It has also been submitted that a thorough enquiry was carried out and it transpired that it was a case of sudden quarrel between two parties and no such threats as alleged by the learned counsel for the petitioner on the last date of hearing were given to the petitioner.

In the aforementioned facts and circumstances, the instant petition stands disposed of.
