Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to act in accordance with the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

In essence, the petitioner alleges that its land is being compulsorily acquired. The Land Acquisition Collector, vide award dated 23.12.2016, had assessed the market value of the plain land while observing that the valuation with regard to the superstructure/buildings on the said land shall be assessed subsequently. The petitioner claims that no supplementary award with regard to the market value of the building(s) has been pronounced.

Mr. Samarth Sagar, Additional Advocate General, Haryana, enters appearance pursuant to the supply of an advance copy of the writ petition and on the instructions from Mr. Sandeep Dahiya, Land Acquisition Officer, Gurugram, submits that the supplementary award No. 8 has already been passed on 08.07.2019.
