KRISHNA MURARI, C.J. (ORAL) Case called out. No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner to press the writ petition. However, we have gone through the pleadings with the aid of learned counsel for the Union of India and State of Haryana.

The relief sought for in this petition for implementation of High Security Registration Plates scheme (for short, 'the Scheme') on all vehicles registered with any of the registering authorities. The State of Haryana as well as the Union of India have come up with the pleading that the Scheme is already in place and all the vehicles are being fixed with High Security Registration Plates. We are further informed that this is being carried out in compliance of Rule 50 of the PRASHANT KAPOOR 2019.02.08 15:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CWP-PIL-27224-2016 (O&M) Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, as also the directions, dated 07.02.2012, issued by Hon'ble Apex Court in Writ Petition (C) No. 510 of 2005 and Writ Petition (C) No. 162 of 2010.

Once the Scheme is in place and is already being implemented, no cause of action is left to the petitioner or even for this petition to continue on Board.
