(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for directing the official respondents to get the detenue namely Abhilasha Chaudhary released, who is legally wedded wife of the petitioner and is in the wrongful and illegal confinement of respondents No.4 to 8. 2.
Status report dated 10.06.2025 by way of affidavit of Manoj Kumar, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gharaunda Karnal, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3/State of Haryana has been filed by learned State counsel in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner in Court today itself. 3.

The detenue (Abhilasha Chaudhary) has stated before this Court that the matter has been reconciled with her parents and they have agreed to her marriage with the petitioner (Lakhan Singh). 5.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the dispute has been reconciled between the petitioner (Lakhan Singh), the detenue (Abhilasha Chaudhary) and the parents of the detenueAbhilasha Chaudhary, he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition. 6.
In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
