(ORAL) Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner after arguing at length prays for a direction to respondent No. 1 - UOI to consider and decide its representation(s) dated 14.09.2021 (Annexure P-8). Mr. Satya Pal Jain, learned Additional Solicitor General of India, appearing for respondent No. 1 - UOI submits that the representation(s) dated 14.09.2021 (Annexure P-8) shall be considered and decided by the authorities expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four weeks.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned Additional Solicitor General of India, we do not find any reason to entertain the present petition which is disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and, therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
