In this writ petition filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus restraining respondent No.1 from finalizing the tender process initiated vide tender inquiry dated 25.09.2017 (Annexure P-1) for appointment of HTC Phillaur-I and for appointment of HTC at Phillaur-II dated 25.09.2017 (Annexure P-2) in the light of the fact that the transportation rates fixed for liked R/H per MT via WB for storage point for Phillaur Mandi Yard in respect of Centre Phillaur Mandi Yard in respect of Centre Phillaur-I and storage point Vinayak Open Plinth for Phillaur-II has been wrongly quoted by respondent No.1 which would cause financial burden upon respondent No.1 if the process initiated for the said tender inquiry is finalized without changing the quoted rates for the respective Savita 2017.10.13 16:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

After arguing for some time, when the Bench was not agreeing with the prayer made in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy before the concerned authorities.

However, it shall be open to the petitioner to take recourse to the remedies as may be available to him, in accordance with law.
