***** JASPAL SINGH, J Though by virtue of instant petition, the petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity and commuted value of pension (Rs.10 lakhs as gratuity and payment of commuted value pension which is more than Rs.7 lakhs) along with 18% interest yet learned counsel for the petitioner confines the prayer only with regard to the conclusion of inquiries, within some prescribed period by the concerned authorities. 2.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with the direction to the concerned authority to take final decision on the inquiries, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
