-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.0067 dated 01.06.2019 under Section 354-A IPC and Sections 8 & 12 of POCSO Act, 2012 registered at Police Station Division No.8, Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and is behind the bars since 31.05.2019. Statement of the prosecutrix has already been recorded, which contains material irregularities. The trial is likely to take some time to conclude and therefore, prays for release of the petitioner on bail.

Per contra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-State opposes the bail application, while contending that the offences alleged against the petitioner are serious in nature and the prosecutrix has supported the case of prosecution, therefore, the petitioner is not entitled to concession of regular bail.

CRM-M No.32764 of 2019 -2I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have perused the statement of the prosecutrix recorded on 26.11.2019. Keeping in view the fact that offences alleged against the petitioner are serious in nature, while further noticing that the prosecutrix is a child of 10 years, who has supported the case of the prosecution, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Consequently, the crl. petition stands dismissed, however, with a direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
