Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondents to release GPF due to the petitioner on his retirement from the post of Kanungo. According to learned counsel, sanction was granted on 30.04.2013 by the Director of Land Record, Punjab. However, needful has not been done till now. Petitioner has also served a legal notice, Annexure P6 but no response has been received.

In view of above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that respondents shall consider the legal notice dated 08.01.2015, Annexure P6 and take a decision thereon within six weeks from today.
