**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.68 dated 16.09.2017, registered under Sections 324, 323, 341, 148 and 149 IPC and Section 326 IPC (added later on), at Police Station Tibber, Tehsil and District Gurdaspur, along with all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Status report by way of an affidavit dated 12.01.2022 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, City, District Gurdaspur, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Registry, is taken on record. It is pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioners that though in the present case, a cancellation report was presented before the Court concerned on 25.12.2021, no decision thereon has been taken by the trial Court, yet. He further submits that on 06.01.2022, respondent No.2/complainant suffered a statement that he was satisfied with the investigation conducted by the Police.

CRM-M-32777-2019 (O&M) -2At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer to the issuance of the directions to the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gurdaspur, to pass an appropriate order on the cancellation report, within a stipulated period.

Learned State counsel has no objection to the aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners.
