SUDIP AHLUWALIA, J. (ORAL) The instant Petition has been filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking Anticipatory Bail on behalf of the Petitioner in case FIR No.118 dated 06.07.2020, under Sections 307, 148 & 149 of the IPC and Sections 25 & 27 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Khalra, District Tarn Taran.

Mr. B.S. Sewak, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab to accept notice on behalf of Respondent No.1/State. A copy of the Paper-book be handed over to him.

Mr. Tarundeep Singh, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of Respondents No.2 and 3 through Video Conferencing and submits that the dispute has been compromised between the fighting parties. 3.

After completion of investigation, Challan in the case has already been submitted.

In this view of the matter, when the case has not even been committed to the Sessions Court where it is otherwise triable, the Trial is undoubtedly to take its own considerable time due to ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic.

As such, without commenting any further on the merits of the present case as a whole, but in view of the fact that the matter has been compromised between the parties, and after presentation of Challan, custodial interrogation of the Petitioner is not called for, at this stage. 7.

For the aforesaid reasons, the prayer of the Petitioner for Anticipatory Bail is allowed and he is ordered to be released on bail subject to appropriate terms and conditions to the satisfaction of the Ld. Trial Court/Duty Magistrate, concerned.
