-.- KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case having FIR No.120 dated 3.9.2020 registered under Sections 391, 395, 397 IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act at Police Station Sadar, District Ludhiana. Counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner was granted regular bail in the aforesaid criminal case vide order 14.10.2020 (Annexure P-2) by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Ludhiana and thereafter the petitioner was regularly appearing before the trial Court, but on account of CVOID-19 situation as the Courts were working in restricted mode, the petitioner was under the impression, that there was no necessity to appear in person before the trial Court. The counsel further submits that resultantly petitioner did not appear before the trial Court on 25.4.2022 and consequently his bail orders were cancelled and consequently he was GAURAV SOROT 2022.08.26 18:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

( 2 ) CRM-M-38208-2022 summoned through non-bailable warrants of arrest. The counsel for the petitioner further submits that the absence of the petitioner was not intentional and even now he is ready to join proceedings before the trial Court.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Chaman Lal Pawar, Addl. A.G. accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab and on instructions from ASI Om Parkash submits that petitioner jumped bail on 25.4.2022 and consequentially his bail orders were cancelled and now proclamation proceedings are pending against him.

In view of the above, as has been stated by the counsel for the petitioner that the absence of the petitioner was not intentional, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Court concerned within 20 days from today and on his appearance, he is directed to be released on regular bail by the Court concerned on his furnishing fresh bail bonds to the satisfaction of the said Court subject to cost of `5,000/- to be deposited by the petitioner with the District Legal Services Authorities Ludhiana. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
