The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 24.11.2025 (Annexure P-11), passed by the respondent-department, vide which the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Principal (PES Cadre Group A) against handicapped category (Ortho) has been rejected, despite the fact that the petitioner is fully eligible for the same as per the relevant rules. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to promote the petitioner to the above-said post with all consequential benefits.

After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh one on the same cause of action with better particulars. 3.
