Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to take remedial action to remove illegal encroachment on public street/land made by respondent No.5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the entire illegal acts of respondent No.5-Ashwini Kumar were pointed out to the official respondents vide legal notice dated 25.04.2018 (Annexure P9), but no action has been taken thereon, rather in response thereto vide reply dated 24.05.2018 (Annexure P10), they have simply taken the stand that legal action is being taken against the Malkiat Kaur wife of Piara Singh and respondent No.5-Ashwini Kumar under Section 172 of the Punjab Municipal Act, 1911.
