CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.B.CHAUDHARI HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE H.S. MADAAN Present:- Mr. Kamal Narula, Advocate for the petitioners. *** A.B. Chaudhari, J. (Oral) Rule.
Ms. Anu Pal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.
Heard forthwith with consent of counsel for the rival parties. The grievance of the petitioners in the present petition is that though the required population for carving of Gram Panchayat is minimum 300, but in present case the population being 163, this fact should be taken into consideration to carve the Gram Panchayat. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that representation was made on 18.9.2017 sent through registered post A.D. but no decision has been taken thereon. In our opinion, the issue being small, the Authority should decide the representation dated 18.9.2017 (Annexure P- 1) in one way or the other, in accordance with law and if necessary after hearing the petitioners PARVINDER SINGH 2018.11.19 10:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
