The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release payment with respect to work carried out by him for the respondent along with interest.

Learned State counsel submits that respondent No.5 may be deleted from the array of parties as it is not a necessary party. He further submits that competent authority would consider petitioner's claim and if any admitted liability is found, it would be discharged within 6 months from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 12% per annum.

In the backdrop, respondent No.5 is deleted from the array of parties and the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents to MOHIT KUMAR 2026.05.29 17:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.

CWP-17903-2026 -2release payment to the petitioner towards admitted liability within 6 months from today. If payment is not released within aforesaid period, the respondent would be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum from the expiry of said period. The petitioner is at liberty to approach appropriate authority qua disputed amount, if any.
