ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL) Director of Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, invited applications for the recruitment of Clerks (253, all departments Common Cadre). The petitioner competed for selection against the said post and even qualified the written examination by securing 132.25/200 marks. The notice was issued by the respondents on the email portal, indicating the short-listed candidates who were called for fourth and last round of Computer Typing test that was scheduled for 01.09.2017, 02.09.2017 and 03.09.2017, at G.G.D.S.D. College, Chandigarh. The case set out in the petition is that it was on account of circumstances beyond the act and control of the petitioner, he could not participate in the Computer Typing test on the dates specified. Thus, obviously there was no occasion for the respondents to consider his candidature. Petitioner prays for another chance to appear in the said test and has even represented to the respondents in this regard, vide representations dated 06.10.2017 and 12.10.2017 (Annexures P-5 and P-6). But to no avail.

CWP-2232-2018 That being so, the petition is disposed of at this stage, only with a direction to the respondents that if the petitioner has indeed made any such representation, the same be considered and dealt with within six weeks from the receipt of a certified copy of this order.
