This petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India has been filed seeking direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of the private respondents (arrayed in the petition).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed an applications/representations dated 24.7.2024 (Annexure P-5) and dated 26.4.2025 (Annexure P-9) before respondent No. 2 and respondent No. 4 respectively raising his grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereupon. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if, appropriate directions are issued to the respondents concerned, to consider and decide the aforesaid applications/representations filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon.

Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the needful be done in due course. Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply a copy of complete paper book to the counsel appearing for the State during the course of the day.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the respondents concerned to consider and decide the aforesaid applications/representations 24.7.2024 (Annexure P-5) and dated 26.4.2025 (Annexure P-9) of the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. 6.

Needless to say, if any threat perception is found to the petitioner, the official respondents would provide him adequate security in order to protect his life and liberty.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
