(ORAL) In the present writ petition, petitioner is challenging the charge-sheet dated 16.05.2017 (Annexure P-5) on the ground that the issuance of the said charge-sheet is in violation of Rule 2.2(b)(ii) of the Punjab Civil Service Rules, Vol.II as no charge-sheet can be issued to a retired employee in respect of an event, which took place four years prior to the initiation of the disciplinary proceedings. Though, no reply has been filed by the respondents-State so far, but learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents brought to the notice of this Court an order dated 12.07.2019 that the charge-sheet dated 16.05.2017 (P-5) has already been withdrawn by the Competent NARESH KUMAR 2020.02.12 11:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
