(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No. 1 to 5 to take action against respondents No. 6 and 7 on the application of the petitioner dated 12.8.2020 (Annexure P-2) in a fair and transparent manner and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from the hands of respondents No. 6 and 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has lodged the FIR in question on 27.3.2020 against respondents No. 6 and 7 but instead of taking action against the accused persons, respondent No. 5Tarlochan Singh ASI, under the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, has been pressurizing the petitioner to settle the matter with respondents No. 6 and 7. He further submits that for redressal of her grievance, the petitioner has moved a representation dated 12.8.2020 (Annexure P-2) to Director General of Police, Punjab but no action has been on the same so far.

CRWP No. 9500 of 2020 -2On the asking of the Court, Mr. Amar Ashok Pathak, Addl. A.G, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State. Keeping in view the above and without adverting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the representation dated 12.8.2020 (Annexure P-2), moved by the petitioner, and decide the same, in accordance with law within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, and especially to consider the act of respondent No.5- ASI Tarlochan Singh.
